I had a great experience at Thai Ocha in Denton, especially since it was my first time trying this restaurant. I ordered the Basil Fried Rice (beef, chicken, shrimp) add on and chose spicy level 4, and it had a really nice kick without overpowering the flavor. The rice was well seasoned, flavorful, and packed with meats. The portion was also generous and very satisfying, and the price was good. $24 What really stood out to me was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They made sure everything was going well and were happy to help with any questions. Their great attitude made my first visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with beautiful Thai-inspired decorations and a relaxed setting that makes it a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Really glad I decided to give Thai Ocha a try. The Basil Fried Rice at spicy level 4 was delicious, the portion was filling, and the staff provided excellent service. For my first visit, it was a very positive experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes from the menu. I highly recommend giving Thai Ocha a try!

⭐ 1-Star Review We visited this restaurant on 8/16 with a group of friends. We ordered 3 Thai teas, 3 entrees, and 1 appetizer. When ordering the Thai tea, the server asked if we wanted to try it with coconut milk. She did not mention that the coconut milk would be an additional charge, but we were charged extra for it. We were also charged for an extra Sprite that we did not expect. I felt this was very misleading. Please check your bill carefully before paying and make sure you understand all additional charges. Unfortunately, the food was also very disappointing. None of the entrees were enjoyable, and we couldn’t even finish half of our bowls. For the price and the overall experience, we were very unhappy. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place based on our visit.

We ordered takeout and got the sesame chicken bites, pad Thai, and fresh rolls with tofu. The sesame chicken bites came with the sauce on the side so that they were still perfectly crispy when we got home and the pad Thai portion was generous. The food was incredible and we cannot wait to come back and keep trying other dishes on the menu and to dine in next time.

I cannot say enough good things about Thai Ocha. We recently moved about a half mile from them and it quickly became our go to restaurant. In Denton there are lots of Thai food options, and I think I’ve had almost all of them. We think Thai Ocha is the best! Their servers are consistent and amazing. The food is top notch (we’ve tried a good number of their dishes and they are all delicious), and the atmosphere has a lot of cute authentic touches! They even catered part of our wedding and were very easy to coordinate with. We love you guys, keep up the good work!!

Listen… we got the chicken eggrolls and shrimp dumplings via DoorDash, and let me tell you—every bite was a straight-up flavor bomb. Crispy, savory, juicy, perfectly seasoned… like they packed a little love AND chaos into each bite. Even through delivery, nothing got soggy, nothing lost its magic. Pros: • Food survives DoorDash. That’s rare. • Flavor is unapologetically bold. Hits every note—spicy, savory, comfort food all at once. • Generous portions. Honestly, you could share… but why would you? Cons: • Honestly? Zero. Even the delivery was smooth, and we’re picky. Verdict: If you’re in Denton and thinking Thai food, stop thinking and just order. DoorDash or dine-in, it’s a whole mood.
